“I extend my heartiest congratulations to Papa and Mama Woods. I presume your cup of joy is bubbling over. Hope that both baby and its mama are doing nicely and are getting stronger every day. I suppose Daddy is doing as well as one can expect of him, and is having a fine time singing lullabys, practising all night two steps etc. Suppose he finds his old shoes and hat far too small to fit his feelings. Wonder what he would do to me if I called this wonderful boy an Automatic squeaker? Don’t the term sound familiar? Hope I may see Daddy Woods his wife and their little “Splinter” out this [here?] this summer.
