“No you have not answered my last letter, Ha! Ha! Many thanks for your best wishes for Thanksgiving. Yes, you will spend your Thanksgiving at Ypsi as much as I still spend mine in China. No use to try to fool this ole lady like that. That poem was a masterpiece of head work. Was it original? It was good but if you meant it as any encouragement at this late day it is like a pardon, granted after a man is hung. I say, to be on the safe side, Beware of all men. O.M.
